Sunday morning: Seminar at St. Francis Auditorium
Words Without Pictures: Considering Contemporary Photography

Words Without Pictures is a collaborative, year-long, web-based project involving discussions, essays, debates, and conversations focused on photography. Each month, beginning at the end of Nov 2007 and concluding in Nov 2008, an artist, educator, critic, art historian, or curator wrote a short opinionated essay about an emerging or changing aspect of photography. The New Mexico Museum of Art hosted a free seminar with Darius Himes (Radius Books), Katherine Ware (Curator, NM Museum of Art), and Charlotte Cotton (Curator, LACMA) in conversation about this project and the culminating book. 120+ people came out!

Sunday afternoon: Beaumont’s Kitchen Booksigning

Essayist David Scheinbaum and contributing photographer Janet Russek signed copies of the book at Scheinbaum & Russek Ltd in Santa Fe. Thanks to all those that came out on a sunny Sunday afternoon!
