Truly one of the most relevant issues with photography in our culture today is how omnipresent it is. Everyone is photographing everything. How do artists and writers reconcile this within a practice and aesthetic that values “less is more”?
This limited edition, inspired by these concepts, the quote above, and published to coincide with our participation in the Paris Photo fair, is the first in a series that will pair artists with writers.
We asked eight photographers to provide one image each, and then we paired each of them with a writer who was asked to respond to the image, and the broader theme of minimalism. Each image has been printed on Hahnemühle paper, signed by the artist, and hand-tipped into the book.
